GLACIER PANORAMA TERRACE

At the summit of the “Gefrorene Wand” mountain station at the Hintertux Glacier, you will find this magnificent observation platform. The ride up with modern mountain lifts to this majestic height is an experience in itself. The breathtaking panorama stretches from the Großglockner to the Dolomites and the Zugspitze! The glacier lifts operate daily from 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM. Up here, you will also find the Nature Ice Palace nearby.

NATURE ICE PALACE
"Find your ice crystal"
Ready for the ice journey into the heart of the glacier? You'll marvel at towering icicles, sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls, the deepest research shaft in a glacier worldwide, and an ice lake 35 meters beneath the ski slope! The 6-meter tall Tux Giant, a well-known figure from local legends carved by sculptor Leonhard Tipotsch, delights especially the young visitors. Daily tours available, no registration required.

SPANNAGEL CAVE
"Marble, stone & pure experience"
Beneath the Spannagelhaus at the Hintertux Glacier lies an underground adventure: the largest natural cave in the Central Alps! Discover the fascinating marble network that extends from Hintertux to the Spannagelhaus. Open year-round, with prior registration required. Ready to explore the secrets of the Earth?

MOUNTAIN CHEESE DAIRY
"STOANKASERN"
The Junsalm, located at an altitude of 1,984 m, is home to the Stoankasern snack station in a wild, romantic alpine valley, surrounded by lush pastures and blooming rhododendron slopes. From mid-June to mid-October, visitors can watch daily in the mornings as milk is transformed into butter and cheese. The hiking time from Lanersbach is about 2.5 hours. Additionally, a hiking taxi is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June to October!

TUXER MILL
"From the mountain, the water rushes."
The Tuxer Mill, built in 1839, has been restored to preserve a piece of rural culture. In the past, barley thrived at this altitude. The resulting barley flour was used for baking bread and various pastries like noodles and donuts. Between June 18 and September 24, visitors can witness live how grain is ground into flour every Monday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

„Cold Water Challenge at 2000m“
With the Eggalm Cable Car, you can easily reach the newest highlight for families in the back Zillertal. A large water pond invites exploration with a pull boat or play raft, while visitors can enjoy the refreshing effects of water through Kneipp therapy. Brave adventurers can cross a nearly 9-meter-long slackline to the other side. Additionally, numerous other attractions like water games and wooden alpine animals provide immense fun and teach the whole family about the unique features of the alpine natural environment.

PEPI‘S KINDERLAND
"At Finkenberg Penken"
Pepi, the giant bear, welcomes you from afar! "Come and play with me! I have a huge inflatable bouncer, a giant slide, plenty of sand, and skill games. Besides my crawl tubes and playhouse, there's also a climbing wall and many other attractions. Up here, you can also enjoy wonderful hikes to the reservoir next to the impressive Garnet Chapel.

Immerse yourself in the magic of your childhood at the Fichten Castle with the fir elves. The castle complex offers countless opportunities for big and small guests in the Zillertal Arena to play and explore. Climb the climbing tower, slide down the slide, or try out the crane tower. From the 18-meter-high observation tower, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. A generous water play area and an exciting playground complete the summer experience in the Zillertal for unforgettable family fun!

"Show Farm"
Experience the origins of valuable hay milk! Get to know the animals at the show farm, watch the cheesemaker at work, and then taste the products yourself—this and much more awaits you during a visit to the Erlebnis-Sennerei in Mayrhofen. In the show dairy, at the show farm, and during the tasting experience, you'll learn interesting details about cheese production.

Experience nature with all your senses!
Explore the moor and forest. Wonder, comprehend, and understand... Mother Nature has created an extraordinary and unique habitat for all of us. The starting point of the Nature World is the mid-station of the Finkenberger Almbahnen, from where you can explore various habitats along the moor educational trail. The special moor soil can be closely examined and observed during the moor soil experiment. ANIMAL WORLD
Not just ants are being searched for!
Visitors dive into the exciting and fascinating world of animals here. There’s plenty to discover for both young and old at the various play stations. In the animal world, you'll learn about the interactions of different organisms. Who's crawling there? Looks can be deceiving! How many ants can you find during the animal riddle rally? These and many other questions are playfully answered along the way. Show your balance on the millipede and while climbing in the flea circus’s spider web. Your spirit of discovery will be awakened by the animal riddle rally and the water games! All insect fans will be thrilled by this cool hike!

WATER WORLD
Can glacier fleas dive?
Here, visitors experience the fascinating and unique world of water up close. The "Floating Water Faucet," visible from afar, serves as both the starting and finishing point of the hike. How much water does a person need? What are thermal springs? These questions are answered along the way, and together with the mascot "Glacier Flea Luis," both young and old explore stations that showcase the power of water and the transformative nature of this essential element. Courage and a good dose of skill are needed for the big waterfall swing and target shooting with water pumps. This fun hike is perfect for adventurous nature enthusiasts and knowledge seekers!

GLACIER FLEA SAFARI
"Let’s go on safari!"
Luis' Glacier Flea & Ball Safari Glacier heroes, attention! Around the Sommerberg hiking area, an exciting adventure course awaits you with tricky riddle questions. Together with Glacier Flea Luis, young explorers will enjoy a thrilling hike with a treasure hunt! Little glacier detectives will discover interactive stations and learn more about the mysteries of glaciers in a fun way. The treasure map is available at the ticket counters of the valley station in Hintertux. Join in and help us solve the riddle. And then it’s: “Let’s go on safari!” Later, it's off to "Luis' Ball Safari." Alongside the three ball tracks integrated into the Glacier Flea Safari, Glacier Flea Luis awaits the little explorers at the entrance of the Ball Safari, ready to greet them from a ball tower featuring loops, a ball crane, a climbing wall, and much more.
Arena Coaster
Tobogganing fun in Zillertal
The Arena Coaster doesn’t just thrill the kids: fun, action and speed await you on the alpine roller coaster in Zillertal. The 1,450 m of coaster fun starts at the bottom station in Zell am Ziller and is THE year-round attraction for all ages with several waves, steep curves and jumps. A 360° gyro and a 540° gyro provide an additional adrenaline rush during your summer holiday in Zillertal.

MEHLERHAUS
"The Small Museum"
The 300-year-old Mehlerhaus has been restored by the municipality of Tux into a small museum. Between mid-July and mid-September, it is open to the public every Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and regularly serves as a venue for cultural events.

Small FARMER’S MUSEUM
"Höllenstein Hut"
At this rustic mountain hut (1,740 m) is Tyrol's highest-altitude rural museum. The tools and work equipment (such as a wooden plow, hoe, head and back baskets, etc.) as well as images provide insight into the hard life of the mountain farmers and woodworkers in Tux. You will also be well taken care of culinary-wise here. Hiking time from Lanersbach: 1 hour.
